I am writing you to offer my services as a Visual Basic Programmer, as a programmer I can offer your organization 3 years of experience in Visual Basic programming solving problems for my customers like making the programs work on any PC computer with any version of Windows for retailing programs, also I have a great ability to solve any problem through solutions that will work driven out of knowledge or out of creativeness, besides I am a very fast and tenacious learner. As a Visual Basic Programmer, my last project consisted in the architecture as well as the engineering design of two automated systems focused on learning, one on arithmetic and the other one on typewriting. Both programs count with their own data base, as well as the link access to it with the purpose of this  applications to have "user profiles" and "player's records" but not slaved to ADO and thus they don't require MDAC, given the fact that this library is 7 Mb big, and because it was my feeling that downloading a library of such a size would make a 5 or 6 Mb application too much work and would discourage the customer from downloading the "demo" as well as buying it. They also count with a cryptographic system, in ASCII codes to save data of the first and last use as well as the caducity date, it also has another cryptographic system for numbers that withholds changes of numeric bases, but because I considerate the binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal bases too obvious, I elaborated a program that converts numbers from one base to another, with an array to choose from 2 to 36. When the customer receives the keyword, what he receives is another ciphered version of his hard disk serial number, he inserts the number in the form and without noticing what just happened sets the parameters for the program to work, but just on the PC where it was originally installed. The user's "Help Pages" are made through VB6 rather than been "hlp" files, because I never liked that the user could copy and paste its contents without my name as an author on them due to the fact that they do not only talk about how to use the program, but about pedagogic and sellable information. Because of this, and with the intent of making a harder task for the pirate by making him typewrite, I generated an array of images that at the time they are seen one after another they are read as a book, I didn't include any search option because I have noticed that nobody that I know has learned any Office program through their help pages, because on the contrary of teaching, they mislead the user and they end up closing it, to avoid this in my help pages I placed, start, back and next buttons for it to be read as a book. As a programmer, due to the business orientation that forms part of me, I am used to empathize with the end user and have his perspective to take in consideration at the application design. NOTES In 1984 I purchased in a Radio Shack store in San Diego Ca. My first computer system, a TRS-80 with a pile of books among the ones there was one called "Get Started With Color Basic", ever since then I have applied from one to four hours a day in learning any of the different computer topics.
